'Life, Death and Those In Between'
by Beyond the Ordinary Productions
Beyond the Ordinary are thrilled to present their exciting new production which focuses on the concept of the souls of sinful people in the living world being collected as punishment for their wrong doings. The story plays with ideas such as 'limbo' and the many different concepts of a looped existence between the land of living and whatever comes next. Presented in an atmospheric and immersive style, prepare to be shown a side of reality far different than the one we ordinarily perceive.

Beyond the Ordinary is a group formed of six third years students from Solent University and this is their final major project for their degree.

'The Maids' by Jean Genet
2 Week Run at Edinburgh
Fringe Festival 2018
In the summer of 2018, Sudden Impulse Theatre Company took an exciting new production of Jean Genet's 'The Maids' to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a two week run at Greenside Venues @ Infirmary Street. The production used the dark, sadistic and violent themes throughout the play and reinforced them to audiences using a 'no-holds-barred' in your face theatre approach, similar to works in the style of Artaud and Theatre of Cruelty.
The production received an in-depth 4 star review from well known Fringe reviewer, Richard Stamp, on behalf of FringeGuru.
"Louis Hayward is particularly striking as Madame; He captures both Madame's casual cruelty and her high-living dissolution, a contrast which fuels the anger underpinning Genet's social critique."
